Blue Sky Drinks Co. emerges as a new powerhouse in the beverage industry by acquiring iconic brands including NED, Grainshaker, and expanding its lineup with the purchase of Gravity Drinks Co.

Blue Sky Drinks Co. (“Blue Sky”) is excited to announce it has agreed to acquire the assets of Top Shelf International Holdings Ltd, including iconic Australian spirit brands such as NED Australian Whisky, Grainshaker Vodka.

Blue Sky has also agreed the purchase of Gravity Drinks Co. (“Gravity”), the fast-growing better-for-you RTD company founded in 2022 by Mick Spencer, Liam Battye, and a group of professional athletes.

Known for its signature trademark “Over Sugar?”, Gravity has become one of Australia’s most recognised challenger labels in the RTD category, backed by a loyal customer base and supported by national ranging through Endeavour Group, Coles Liquor, and hundreds of independent venues.

Under the new structure, Mick Spencer will assume the role of Executive Chair of; Greg Mitchell will become CFO; David Ward will become GM – Sales & Marketing; and Liam Battye will become Head of Operations.

Joining the Blue Sky board will be Ray Noble, a 30-year drinks industry veteran. Ray was previously served as Managing Director of Sazerac Australia and previously held senior leadership roles at Beam Suntory.

The combined business will continue production in partnership with IDL, and maintaining strong national distribution of currently 5,000+ through Endeavour Group, Coles Liquor, and independent retailers, as well as key on premise partners.
